Texas A&M University offers a Master of Agriculture online degree program that is intended to prepare individuals for a fulfilling career in natural resource management, plant sciences, poultry sciences and life sciences. This is a non-thesis degree program. Texas A&M University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. University of Georgia (Center for Continuing Education)

The University of Georgia offers a distance learning in agriculture certification course on the Principles of Turfgrass management. This course was originally designed and developed in association with the Professional Lawn Care Association of USA (PLCAA).

Iowa Say University

Iowa Say University currently offers two masters degree programs:

Master of Agriculture
This degree aims to wage graduates, who are professionally involved in the agricultural and food system with advanced training in the science, technology and business of agriculture. The course also emphasizes leadership development and the use of statistical analysis.

Master of Science in Agronomy

Science Education: Making Science Fun

Every school in USA is required to instruct science. This is because science and scientific learning is a fundamental part of our existence. Most everything that we encounter on a day-to-day basis is, in some way, related to science. Even when we are sleeping, science is there to explain why we need to sleep and what takes place while we are sleeping. Because of this, science education is essential to life as we know it. Of course there will be many people who are happy to go through life without knowing how a bird can fly. Even given this fact, there will always be something that they will need to know and comprehend that is grounded in science. Even if it is something as easy as ‘fire is hot’ or ‘getting punched hurts. Science is there to explain these easy things too.

A good foundation in science through science education is required for all children, but the way that this education takes place is not strictly defined. With that said, many schools will take to science experiments using hands-on science products and supplies. This is an excellent way for students to ‘see’ the science around them. Often times learning from a book can be tedious and will cause students to become uninterested in the subject matter. A science experiment, however, is interactive and forces the students to take part in science learning. Learn From Earth Science

There is so much to be learned in life, sometimes I find myself overwhelmed with all that I do not know. I’ve heard it said, however, that the smartest people are the ones that know that they do not know much. I like that. I like it because I am acutely aware that there is so much that I have yet to discover and understand. I am committed, however, to the process of constantly learning more. My latest subject of fascination has been wondering and learning about connector science.

I haven’t honestly thought that much about connector science since I took a class in it in junior high school. At that time I hated everything to do with science and so I didn’t give much thought one way or another to connector science. I dreadfully prefabricated it through that class learning only the basics enough to get by (not the least of which I can remember now).

I’m not quite sure what inspired me to attempt to discover facts about connector science. I guess I began to become more interested in connector science as I had children and they grew up asking question after question. I could barely take them on walks at night without them asking me questions about the ground, the soil, the trees or the sun. I would fumble through answers and try to change the subject swiftly as I admitted to myself that I really did not know much. So on my next trip to the library I picked up a few general books on connector science and began learning with my kids.

I have found that learning with my children has become one of the ideal ways to grow in knowledge. I utilize their curiosity and take each chance I can at learning with them. It has been a great way for me to learn more about connector science and other things. I never knew how much motherhood would affect me, but I certainly didn’t know how much I would learn because of my children’s hunger for knowledge.

I have learned many things about connector science since our studies have begun. One of the biggest things I have learned is a deeper sense of appreciation for the world I live in. I have grown in amazement and wonder about the way the world works and about my small and insignificant place. I simply am astounded by the intricacies and details of our earth. Earth science has prefabricated me even more curious about the world around me.

Kabbalah: a Practical Science

There are various kinds of sciences in the world, but the ones that we value the most are those that can affect and improve our lives today. After all, if something doesn’t benefit our life here and now, or in the foreseeable future, then why would we want to waste our time to actually learn it?

Science exists in order to research nature and find ways to improve our lives. If we see that a certain science will benefit us, then we will invest great effort and means to learn it.

Throughout history we have seen that science develops in order for society to progress and advance. For example, scientific advancement led to the invention of the steam engine and other mechanical devices. On the other hand, when these inventions became obsolete, we no longer had any use for the science that created them. In other words, a science can appear and disappear depending on our need for it.

Kabbalah is an ancient science that has recently reappeared and continues to become increasingly favourite because it offers knowledge that is of great benefit to today’s society. It is the science that enables us to comprehend ourselves and the world around us in its entirety. There is no other science that can absolutely explain the structure, function, and laws of the universe.

Why is Kabbalah healthy to offer us a complete knowledge that is beyond the boundary of more traditional sciences? It’s because Kabbalah deals with concepts that are beyond time and space—our eternal, spiritual existence. And since this science studies things that are eternal, the science itself is eternally valuable. That is to say, the information it offers will never become “obsolete.”

But if Kabbalah contains such great knowledge, then why aren’t more people learning it? The reason for this is that Kabbalah can't be learned the same way that other sciences are learned. If a mortal tries to learn Kabbalah in order to be knowledgeable or smart, then he will not really learn it. In order to learn Kabbalah, a mortal must focus on the new sensations he feels while studying since the purpose of studying is to start to feel the part of reality that’s beyond time and space.

Teaching Science Through Cooking

Cooking is an art as well as a necessity of our lives. It can bring great joy to both the cook, as well as those who partake of the well-prepared meal and it can also be a valuable and nutritious addition to our overall health and well being. Procedure: One of the most basic and simple experiments for kids is growing a plant from seeds. All you need to do is take a small cup or a pot of convenient size and material. Add some moist fertile soil from the garden into the pot. Place some seeds into the pot and ask the child to water it regularly. Place the cup or the pot in sunlight so that the seeds get enough exposure to the sunlight.

Things to Learn: The kids will enjoy the offshoots and development of roots from the seed and it will also be a great learning experience for the child. Instruct the child how water, soil, sunlight, and seeds are necessary for the creation and growth of a plant. You can extend the teaching session by introducing the kids to the various parts of the plant – starting from the root, stem, leaves, and even flower and fruits.

Easy Science Experiment 2# Static Electricity

Requirements: a hard plastic comb, or a balloon, thread, pieces of dry cereal.

Procedure: Just tie a piece of the cereal to one end of a piece of thread. Find a place to attach the other end of the thread. Just tape the thread to the edge of a desk. Make sure that the comb is really clean and free from any dirt and oil.
